CPI, EMKARATE, SOLEST and PARATHERM oils, LUBCON greases, FUCHS and CASSIDA lubricants and YAMAUCHI aprons and cots are offered in many places at many prices; EMKARATE has been counterfeited to the point that Lubrizol issued a warning with specific batch numbers. This section explains what Hop Tien is authorized to distribute, which documents accompany a batch, what a seller must prove, how a plant can check a drum of oil before it enters the warehouse, and what happens when lubricants are bought outside the authorized distribution channel.
Hop Tien Technology Engineering Co., Ltd is the authorized distributor of Lubrizol Fluid Engineering (LFE: the CPI, EMKARATE, SOLEST and PARATHERM brands) in Vietnam, and an authorized distributor of LUBCON (Lubricant Consult GmbH, Germany), FUCHS and CASSIDA (FUCHS Vietnam) and YAMAUCHI (Japan). LUBRIZOL, LUBCON, CASSIDA and YAMAUCHI goods delivered by Hop Tien are officially imported and come with a certificate of origin (CO), certificate of quality (CQ), certificate of analysis per batch (CoA), the current safety data sheet (SDS) and a Vietnamese supplementary label naming the importer. FUCHS goods are supplied by FUCHS Vietnam (produced locally or imported, depending on the grade), with a CoA per batch and SDS. Refrigeration compressor oils, air compressor oils and H1 lubricants are products where one mistake is paid for with a machine or an audit file. Goods whose source cannot be verified usually lack four things: a CoA per batch to refer to when there is a problem; the SDS in the current version for the chemical safety file; copies of the NSF H1 registration and the Halal and Kosher certificates for FSSC 22000 and BRC audit files; and someone responsible for technical support when the machine has a problem. With POE oils for HFC systems, oil that is old or has been opened absorbs moisture and damages the compressor even though the label is correct; with EMKARATE there are also counterfeits printed almost identically to the genuine packaging (see Lubrizol's warning and how to check). With CPI lubricants for the oil and gas industry bought from traders without authorization, in Hop Tien's experience what is lost is the manufacturer's technical support, batch documents and continuity of supply (see the dedicated page). A price a few percent lower does not make up for one machine stoppage or one audit finding.

Hop Tien is the authorized distributor of LFE in Vietnam. Yes. Hop Tien holds the Distributor Certificate of The Lubrizol Corporation (Fluid Engineering) as Authorized CPI Distributor for Vietnam for the EMKARATE, SOLEST, CPI and PARATHERM brands; the certificate is renewed periodically and the current version is sent on request.
Hop Tien does not vouch for a source it does not supply. Ask the seller for the CoA for the batch number, the Vietnamese supplementary label naming the importer and a copy of the authorization or documents proving purchase from the authorized channel, or send Hop Tien label photos to check. Goods imported by Hop Tien can always be traced by batch number.
Yes. Lubrizol issued a poster warning of counterfeit EMKARATE (August 2025) listing eight specific batch numbers; the counterfeit packaging is printed almost identically to the genuine one, so compare the batch number, the CoA and the source rather than the look of the label. Intact seal, within the expiry date, stored in a dry place; once opened, use it up or reseal immediately and use within a short time because POE oil is strongly hygroscopic. If in doubt, Hop Tien measures the water content (Karl Fischer) of a sample before it goes into the machine.
